To All:
My apologies for not being as mistrusting as I should. It appears the
Legislature snuck past a date change on the Committee Report. The new date is November 1.2002.How this impacts us is in the "agreed" moratorium from the Trails Bureau to
not develop new trails on State lands. And of course another year plus of legislative work.Another major issue is the cost of joining the Association for larger clubs.
The $3.00 donation for the first year membership has been viewed as a bank busted for these clubs -- and will take away needed funds for trails and events.I can only say that the Association has been needed for way too long and that
without these clubs and their members we will be hard pressed to lobby the NH legislators as a single voice. The Executive Committee needs to decide if they are willing to accept a
donation from the larger clubs at a fixed rate for the first year just to get them into the Association. This has to be decided before next Tuesday--If you want this to succeed we need to become very creative very quickly!
What is the bottom line for making this happen? Let me know what you decide.Richard Goudarzi,
