Accept The Challenge

The Merrimack Valley Trail Riders and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation have joined together to create the Northeasfs premiere trail ride - the 2003 New England Classic Charity Trail Ride. This weekend long event features two days of riding, camping and all out fun for the entire family. The New Hampshire

International Speedway in Loudon, NH will host the Trail Ride for a tenth straight year, kicking off a week's worth of motorcycle activities that culminates with "Motorcycle Weekend." Over the course of the event more than 1000 riders have come from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, New England and as far south as Florida to participate in this AMA/Suzuki National Dual Sport Trail Ride Series event.

HISTORY

Known as the LEON DUBE TRAIL RIDE from 1981-1991, this adult recreational trail ride has experienced remarkable growth. Over the years, through the generous, collaborative efforts of sponsors, participants and the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders, close to $800,000 has been raised to support cystic fibrosis research. Since the inception of the Trail Ride, the average life span of a CF patient has gone from 15 years old to 33 years old. In addition to its success as a unique special event, this trail ride also serves to further promote responsible usage of off-road vehicles for the benefit of trail-riders, clubs, associations and motorcycle man ufacturers.

GOAL

Our goal for 2003 is to raise $100,000 for cystic fibrosis research and promote the sport of trail riding.

2002 HIGHLIGHTS

American Suzuki's generous participation in this event helped raise $87,000 last year with Suzuki's contribution of $24,500. The event was supported by 49 New England Dealers who actively promoted the Trail Ride to their customers by displaying posters and registration material to create public awareness about this wonderful East Coast Ride as well as Suzuki and their line of product.
